How does it work?
Intravenous micronutrient therapy (IVMT) is a means of delivering vitamins and nutrients directly into the patient’s blood stream through a drip.
IV Infusion drips are a growing aesthetic trend which have come to public attention after a number of celebrities went public about their use and love of them.
IV drips were first used by Dr John Myers in America, who gave intravenous infusions to patients with a variety of ailments. After his death, Dr Alan Gaby continued treatment using the ‘Myers’ Cocktail – a combination of ingredients thought to include magnesium chloride, calcium gluconate, thiamine, vitamins B6 and B12, calcium panthothenate, vitamins C and B complex and diluted hydrochloric acid.
The treatment gained in popularity from there and is now available in selected clinics and spas worldwide.
TV doctor Dr Hilary Jones is on record saying:
“On average, most people report a benefit within two hours.”
“Your body will be fully hydrated; individuals report increased energy levels for four to seven days and, from a preventative health perspective, no longer suffer from the common cold and flu.
“A high percentage see a significant difference in their skin and nail condition.”
Patients report a real ‘feel good’ boost to their wellbeing.
IV Infusion Therapy in London
Dr Barbara Kubicka is a great advocate of the treatment. At Clinicbe in Knightsbridge, the infusion solution is formulated or selected to suit each patient’s individual requirements.
At Clinicbe, patients are assessed before treatment to establish what deficiencies or health issues need to be addressed.
Diagnosing a deficiency requires blood testing, which many clinics do not offer.
However, Clinicbe offer the innovative OligoScan health test which uses spectrometry cellular testing. There is no need for a blood sample, yet this advanced test can deliverdetailed data on the patient’s body and health, including
- Pure assimilation
- Mineral deficiencies (due to diet and food choices)
- Accumulation of heavy metals in the body
- Anti-oxidant levels
- Acidity levels
This vitally informs how to use the IV drip treatment, making it totally appropriate to the patient’s needs based on highly accurate diagnosis.
Every patient is different with a unique set of requirements. The consultation is the starting point, with discussion of the problems and what the patient is trying to achieve as well as a medical review; after which the doctor can recommend the most appropriate treatments.
