The 5 Step Eye Peel was developed by Clinicbe founder Dr Barbara Kubicka as a treatment solution specifically tailored to tackle lines, wrinkles and pigmentation in the delicate eye area.

The eyes are quick to show signs of tiredness and ageing. The skin is thinner in this area. Having less natural fat and collagen, it is prone to becoming looser with time, which is when lines and wrinkles appear. In addition, the thinness of the skin means that it can appear darker or discoloured as ‘eye bags’ develop.

Many clients complain about how they look tired even when they feel fine – or that they seem to have premature ageing in the eyes.

In response to these concerns. Dr Kubicka developed a protocol for using chemical peel to rejuvenate and refresh the tissues around the eyes.

Chemical peels work to exfoliate the skin, stripping away the outer dead skin cells and debris in order to reveal fresher skin and stimulate production of new skin cells and collagen.

However, in an area as sensitive and important as the eyes, normal strength application is inappropriate.

Dr Kubicka developed a peel that works in 5 separate sessions, each building upon the previous results to gradually enhance the skin around the eyes. Treatments are carefully spaced to allow for shedding of skin cells and healing to occur before the next sessions. Clients can expect 1-2 days of redness after treatment. The skin will feel dry and will peel for a few days, but this is normally complete within less than a week, making it an easily tolerated treatment.

With each successive session, the peel exposure is allowed to progressively build up to longer time so that it goes deeper.

For optimum results, the eye peel session at Clinicbe also includes microneedling using the Dermapen to intensively and precisely stimulate cell renewal and healing. This enhances the overall treatment by adding an extra dimension to the treatment.

Sessions conclude with application of serum, massage and medical-grade sunscreen to protect the skin outdoors when returning to home or work.
