The e-METRO recently included a seasonal article on treatments to tackle difficult abdominal fat – an issue which is topical as many women and men prepare to reveal their beach bodies over the summer holidays.

Dr Barbara Kubicka Featured

Aesthetic Physician Dr Barbara Kubicka provided treatment two options to tackle the area: I-LIPO non-invasive treatment (read more about I-LIPO in the Metro) and Aqualyx injections.

Aqualyx Injections

As the Metro reviewer explains, Aqualyx fat dissolving injections are an injectable treatment which work to break down fatty deposits.

The treatment is non-invasive an involves injecting a solution which contains plant polymers. The formulation contains deoxycholic acid which is a secondary bile acid naturally produced in the body to liquefy the fat in the gut. Aqualyx treatment uses the same principle with the formulation injected into a specific trouble area to break down fatty cells.

The reviewer says:

“When I heard about Aqualyx, I thought all my Christmases had come at once. A non-invasive, hour long treatment in comfortable, relaxed surroundings with no general anaesthetic or stitches in sight – it sounded too good to be true but I wasn’t disappointed.”

“I went to Clinicbe in Knightsbridge to see Dr Barbara Kubicka.”

“After applying a gel-type local anaesthetic to my stomach, Dr Kubicka spent around 20 to 30 minutes injecting the Aqualyx into the affected areas. It stung a bit but the pain was short-lived, definitely bearable and most importantly, well worth the result!”

“I would say that after just one treatment (Dr Barbara recommends 3 or 4)”

“The result? My pouch had reduced by 30% and was noticeably smaller.”
“After a few days, my jeans fitted better and I felt more confident generally. I would definitely recommend this treatment to any woman who is plagued by her tummy overhang.”

“Say goodbye to the sporran and hello to a new svelte you.”
