CQC Inspection Rates Clinicbe ‘Good’ Throughout

Clinicbe®’s latest CQC inspection rated the company’s service as ‘good’ throughout – a positive statement in favour of the London-based skin and health treatment clinic.

A CQC inspection team comprised of a CQC Lead Inspector and a GP specialist advisor visited Clinicbe® on 7th June 2019. Their findings were published in a report dated 8th July 2019 which is available on the CQC website. 

Clinicbe® was graded ‘good’ in every aspect of the assessment, which looked in great detail at patient experiences of care and treatment.

The CQC assess the same five key points for all the services inspected. Clinicbe®’s results were excellent throughout:

1. Are services safe? – Rated GOOD
   The CQC found that Clinicbe® was providing safe care in accordance with the relevant regulations.
   This means that clients can be confident that they are protected from abuse and avoidable harm.
2. Are services effective? – Rated GOOD
   The CQC found that that Clinicbe® was providing effective care in accordance with the relevant regulations.
   This means that patient care, treatment and support achieve good outcomes.
3. Are services caring? – Rated GOOD
   The CQC found that that Clinicbe® was providing caring services in accordance with the relevant regulations.
   This means that staff involve and treat patients with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
4. Are services responsive? – Rated GOOD
   The CQC found that that Clinicbe® was providing responsive care in accordance with the relevant regulations.
   This means that services are organised so that they meet clients’ needs.
5. Are services well-led? – Rated GOOD
   The CQC found that that Clinicbe® was providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations.
   This means that the leadership, management and governance of the organisation make sure it’s providing high-quality care that’s based around individual needs.

Key Findings

The report summarises its findings:

• The practice had clear systems to manage risk so that safety incidents were less likely to happen. When incidents did happen, the practice learned from them and improved their processes.
• The practice routinely reviewed the effectiveness and appropriateness of the care it provided. It ensured that care and treatment was delivered according to evidence- based guidelines.
• Staff involved and treated patients with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
• Patients found the appointment system easy to use and reported that they were able to access care when they needed it.
• There was a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement at all levels of the organisation.

CQC Registration

CQC registration means that the clinic has to be regularly audited to ensure that the Care Quality Commission’s high standards for service and protocols are being met. 

Clinicbe® is registered as Doctors/GPs under type of service in the Local Authority of Kensington & Chelsea. It is registered for diagnostic and screening procedures, treatment of disease, disorder or injury and caring for adults under and over the age of 65.

“Being registered with the Care Quality Commission is something that many clinics choose not to do due to the cost, work and high standards involved. For many, it is not a legal requirement and many clinics and salons prefer not to be held to account in this way or to have their reports published.
