The annual statistics have been issued from industry body BAAPS, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. They show a dramatic increase in patients choosing to have liposuction surgery to reduce areas of excess fat, with 4,326 procedures being performed in 2013, up 42% vs 2012.
The statistics show just how many Brits are keen to tackle their ‘wobbly bits’, or areas of excess fat.
The BAAPS figures relate to surgical procedures. However, there is also phenomenal demand for non-invasive alternatives.
The latest breed of non-surgical procedures offer dramatic body shaping results without the risk, recovery or price tag of surgery.
Dr Barbara Kubicka at Clinicbe in Knightsbridge has chosen Laser lipo using the state-of-the-art i-LipoXcell machine, which offers an impressive package:
- scientifically proven results
- body shaping through safe laser treatment
- massage and toning of cellulite with infra red vacuum massage
- skin tightening with radio-frequency
The I-LipoXcell system is available at Clinicbe, based in the Knightsbridge area of London, a popular destination for clients from Mayfair and Chelsea, as well as those working in the West London area.
Laser lipo prices start at just £220 per session, much less than the £4-5k you might expect for surgical liposuction. However, the non-invasive approach also offers benefits in terms of the treatment:
- no risks of general anaesthetic
- no hospital stay
- no unpleasant post-surgical compression garments
- smooth and rapid results
Dr Kubicka takes a holistic approach to skincare treatments; treating the patient as a whole in order to get the best possible results from any treatments they may have. Private consultations often include individual advice on nutrition and lifestyle as well as professional treatments.
The clinic also offers a range of skin treatments, including botox injections and facial fillers as well as mesotherapy and dermaroller; though the clinic also offer new technology such as i-lipo and IPL.
