daily telegraph

The Daily Telegraph included expert advice from Dr Barbara Kubicka in its feature on the use of Retinol in anti-ageing skincare.

The feature is entitled:

“Why Retinol, the anti-ageing wonder ingredient, has just got even better”

It explores the recent developments to packaging and formulations that potentially make Retinol more stable and less irritating to sensitive skin.

The writer sought expert input from Dr Barbara Kubicka on the question of who should NOT use Retinol products.

Dr Kubicka told The Telegraph readers:

“…it shouldn’t be used by those with very thin and sensitive skin, as well as those with rosacea. The reason being that it can irritate and exacerbate redness and sensitivity, or further thin the skin.”

In addition, Retinol is unsuitable for pregnant mums-to-be or while breastfeeding/nursing due to the potency of formulation.
