3 Dimensional Imaging System
Clinicbe in London has produced a video to illustrate how their new Visia skin analysis and imaging system is used to provide incredible levels of detail for the skin consultation.
The VISIA Complexion Analysis System incorporates high tech camera technology and advanced software. The scanner takes detailed images from a variety of angles and using specific frequencies of light in order to produce images and a detailed assessment of the patient’s skin and complexion from the surface and down to deeper levels of the epidermis.
It is able to capture and reveal issues including:
- UV damage (sun damage, freckles, brown spots)
- Redness (rosacea, sensitivity, inflammation)
- Minor vascular concerns (thread veins, spider veins)
- Signs of ageing (lines and wrinkles)
- Skin texture concerns (pores, uneven surface, roughness)
- Porphyrins (acne bacteria secretions)
The resulting images help patients to fully visualise and understand the issues and dynamics involved in the appearance of their skin. Together with the consultant/doctor, they can also discuss the most appropriate treatments and at-home skin care regime to be planned, as it can provide detail which is not discernable to the human eye on the true condition of the skin.
The system also records images so that progress can be compared and tracked at future appointments.
