The Winter Glow Facial was developed to specifically meet the needs of skin at this time of year. It combines 2 fabulous cosmetology treatments that work together to boost the condition of the skin, addressing the damage caused by colder days and central heating. The process of intensive exfoliation followed by deep hydration is designed to leave tired skin looking refreshed and feeling soft and hydrated.

The Winter Glow facial comprises:

• Microdermabrasion
• Anti-Stress Mask

1/ Microdermabrasion

The first step is to exfoliate the skin using microdermabrasion. This sloughs away the outer layers of dry and dead skin cells. It also whisks away excess oils and even impurities such as the fine debris left by city pollution. Once the outer layer is removed, a layer of fresher, newer skin emerges. This looks instantly more radiant and even fine lines are reduced.

Clinicbe in London uses the SilkPeel DermalInfusion Microdermabrasion system, which simultaneously applies dermatological solutions to hydrate and nourish the skin. It is a non-invasive system which is gentler yet more effective than many of the alternatives available.

While the exfoliation is about in depth cleaning and sloughing of the skin, there is also a longer term benefit to this treatment, as it stimulates skin cell renewal. Thus in the weeks following treatment, the radiance is maintained and there is a boost to production of new skin, including the collagen/elastin which provide structure and are associated with a more youthful appearance.

2/ Anti-Stress Mask

The exfoliation is followed by a soothing and hydrating mask. Skin that has been intensively prepared through microdermabrasion is perfectly primed to absorb hydration and carefully chosen ingredients that nourish and stimulate the skin.

Although our microdermabrasion system incorporates infusion of hydrating solutions, following the treatment with a mask allows time for deeper penetration of the moisturising agents, allowing the skin to really soak up the benefit of the lotion applied. It is also incredibly relaxing! Our cosmetologist will be on hand throughout to ensure maximum benefit from this stage of the treatment. We want your skin to be utterly refreshed.

After removal of the mask, you’ll notice that the skin feels significantly hydrated and has a dewy glow. It will feel softer to the touch and if you’ve suffered from a dry, tight feeling (common in heated offices environments or overheated shops/homes) then the skin can feel a lot more relaxed and pliable.
