The number of aesthetic treatments carried out on men is rising and men are making up a growing proportion of the overall market. In London, the competitive world of work demands that men look their best – fresh and vibrant – and many men are keen to work on any signs of ageing or tiredness. Some of our clients may be in the public eye where the pressure to look good in any social media or paparazzi photos is high. Yet there are many who for personal reasons are simply interested in looking their best, especially once they’ve discovered the benefits and results.
MenZone launched in 2017 in response to increasing demand from our male patients for non-surgical treatments. Our concept is to provide a range of treatments with men in mind, provided in a clinic environment where men feel comfortable and at ease. Too many spas and clinics appeal to the female market with flowers and candles… we simply provide professionalism and skill – appropriately adapted treatments and services in an environment which would feel just as accessible and comfortable for male clientele as with female.
When it comes to treating men, good Aesthetic Physicians recognise that there are some very important differences.
- Natural – men tend not to want to look overdone or fake. We ensure that foreheads still move and skin is not over shiny – these tell-tale signs of over-treatment or poorly executed treatment are not our style
- Masculinity – aesthetic treatments can be used to sculpt the features, but what works well on a female client can look odd on a man. We respect and enhance the gender-related features such as straight eyebrows or a strong chin/jawline
- Technology – we find that male clients are ready to embrace the latest technology and tactics to maintain their best appearance
