Acnelan FAQ

acne diagram acnelanWhy do I get acne?

  • The structure of the skin consists of many hair follicles, each of which has a sebaceous gland. The hair leads to the skin’s surface through a skin pore.
  • The hair follicles are more abundant on the face, chest and back.
  • The follicular canal is covered with keratin, sebum and bacterial flora.
  • Androgenic (hormonal) stimulation on the sebaceous gland promotes the secretion of sebum.
  • There are a number of factors, but in general, acne is caused by the activity of bacteria living in the sebum.

I’m pregnant – can I use Acnelan?

No, we do not recommend Acnelan during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the active ingredients involved. Treatment can be started when nursing has finished.
