Hyperhidrosis Injections

Excessive Sweating Treatment

hyperhidrosisHyperhidrosis is a common condition that manifests itself in the form of excessive sweating.

According to the International Hyperhidrosis Society, the condition affects 367 million people worldwide – over 5% of the global population.

Hyperhidrosis afflicts all kinds of people, often becoming exacerbated when the sufferer realises that they are frequently sweating without any reason, i.e. due to rigorous activity, hot temperatures or extreme anxiety.

The most commonly affected areas are:

  • Underarms/armpits
  • Forehead
  • Hands
  • Feet

It can happen year-round and cause significant discomfort and embarrassing. It tends to get even worse with stress and can become unbearable in hot weather.

How can hyperhidrosis be treated?

There are many different treatments that address hyperhidrosis, though only a few of these are proven to work consistently. There are also surgical options available, though these incur a higher risk and greater expense.

Botox for sweating

We offer BOTOX® injections as a temporary solution to hyperhidrosis. Numerous medical studies have found that BOTOX® injections can stop the glands in the skin from actually producing sweat, a procedure which effectively alleviates excessive sweating and leaves the underarms dry.

Hyperhidrosis injections are ideal for those that feel excessive sweating is affecting their confidence or happiness.
