Clinicbe in daily mailWe are thrilled to share that Dr Barbara Kubicka, founder of Clinicbe, was recently featured in the Daily Mail article:

“These are the most attractive grey-haired celebrities in the world according to the golden ratio.”

The article explores the concept of beauty and aging, highlighting how some celebrities continue to captivate audiences with their silver locks.

In fact, increasing numbers of Hollywood celebrities are embracing their grey hair. George Clooney and Daniel Day-Lewis are known for their grey hair as well as their acting skills; but now these leading men are joined by growing numbers of women too, including Andie McDowell, Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren and Glenn Close, who displayed a striking head of white hair at the Oscars.

Dr Barbara Kubicka told the Daily Mail that the look can be

“…associated with stability and knowledge”

She explained:

“Grey hair in men is often labelled as ‘distinguished,’ enhancing attractiveness without compromising perceived vitality or youthfulness. On the other hand, women with grey hair historically face more stigma, with societal pressures to dye their hair to maintain a youthful appearance.

“Additionally, there is a growing appreciation for the natural beauty and authenticity of grey hair as a sign of self-acceptance and confidence, allowing individuals to stand out in a society that often emphasises youth and conformity.

“The trend regarding grey hair oscillates between dyeing and embracing it, influenced by changing beauty standards and cultural shifts.

Dr Kubicka commented that it has been ‘the norm’ to dye grey hair for many years – particularly for women keen to retain a more youthful appearance. However, she noted a shift towards embracing natural hair including colour. She says this is

“…supported by a broader trend valuing authenticity, self-acceptance, and challenging traditional beauty standards.”

Dr Kubicka concluded:

“Celebrities play a significant role in shaping beauty standards and trends, influencing perceptions of grey hair.

“Public figures who embrace their natural hair or choose distinctive styles inspire fans and the broader public to follow suit, fostering a more inclusive conversation about ageing and beauty and encouraging others to embrace their natural hair.”

Golden Ratio

The Daily Mail feature also explored the role of the golden ratio – mathematical proportions which are thought to relate to attractiveness. The principal is that where ratios/proportions are closer to the number 1.62, they appear more aesthetically balanced and therefore more attractive. The golden ratio was used by Leonardo Da Vinci for a number of his most famous works and occurs in nature as well as in art.

Top 5 silver screen goddesses

According to the Daily Mail, the female Hollywood actors with the closest golden ratios are

  1. Glenn Close
  2. Jodie Foster
  3. Helen Mirren
  4. Meryl Streep
  5. Jane Fonda

Facial ageing and cosmetic treatments

Dr Kubicka is passionate about helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals and embrace confidence at every stage of life.

While the article touches on the “golden ratio” as a mathematical formula for attractiveness, Dr Kubicka believes that true beauty goes beyond measurements. It’s also about self-acceptance, inner radiance, and the unique qualities that make each person special.

However, for those considering cosmetic treatments to enhance their natural beauty as they age, understanding facial proportions can be helpful.

Certain procedures, like non-surgical facial rejuvenation or strategic fillers, can restore a more youthful balance to the face without compromising individuality.

The key is to find a suitable practitioner who listens to your concerns and tailors a treatment plan to your specific desires. Together, you can create a natural, age-appropriate look that complements your features and reflects your inner confidence.

Whether you’re embracing your grey hair, considering cosmetic enhancements or both; remember that beauty is timeless.
