The educational event was held in order to help correct misconceptions surrounding aesthetic treatments and products for black skin, as well as enabling guests to meet skincare professionals.
Surveys have shown that there is a real gap in the market. 92% of black women said it was a challenge to find and access a skin care professional that could meet their needs.

The Black Skin Directory is a new website which was established to provide information specifically geared to the needs of black skin, with advice and recommendations on products, treatments and professionals.
