‘Treat Yourself’

wedding ideas skinThe latest edition of Wedding Ideas magazine includes an article dedicated to 10 non-invasive treatments, exploring the ‘best ways to get your bridal glow’.

Weddings are organised with military precision and beauty preparations are not to be left to the last minute, as the article explains:

“a perfect wedding day is a well organised one. In much the same way, a beauty-conscious bride will take a methodical and sensible approach to her pre-wedding regime, rather than leaving it until the night before to slap on six face masks at the same time”

The article features treatments for boosting bride’s hair condition, manicures, hair removal, eyelash extensions and teeth whitening.

It also features a couple of treatments at Clinicbe:

For the skin, Wedding Ideas Mag focus on the importance of the back and upper body, areas which may not be normally exposed, especially in winter.

“Back to basics

“Strapless gowns show no sign of losing their popularity and if you’re considering one, it’s worth noting that you’ll want the skin on your back to be as smooth, blemish free and glowing as your face.

“‘Bacials’ are, as the name suggests, facials for the skin: ClinicBe offer such treatments aimed at cleansing, brightening or hydrating, which involve an hour-long combination of Microdermabrasion infusion, peel, extraction and mask.

For best results, aim for two or three sessions; bear in mind that, as the treatment draws impurities out, it can sometimes make your back look worse before it looks better, so get started at least six to eight weeks in advance of your wedding date. Each treatment is £275.

For the body, Wedding Ideas recommend cryolipolysis at Clinicbe for hard-to-shift areas of fat, saying:

“Hard to shift

“Chances are that, even before he popped the question, you’d tried and tested a few diet and exercise regimes and by now, you probably know which bits of your body are stubborn in not letting go of those little extra bits – you know, the ones that no one else notices but over which you constantly gnash your teeth. It’s okay, we get it! So, while we’ll always advocate healthy eating and exercise, we’re all for a bit of help where it’s needed.

“If stubborn pockets of fat are threatening to spoil your enjoyment of a honeymoon bikini or a backless gown, then there are non-invasive treatments that can help by effectively ‘killing off’ a number of an area’s fat cells and leaving them to be flushed away by the body’s normal excretory processes. The MICOOL-A treatment (starting from £325) at ClinicBe uses cyrolipolysis (fat freezing) to achieve this.

“…Follow up with plenty of water, clean eating and body-brushing for the best results.”
