Micro-Needling Skin Therapy
Dermaroller® therapy is a treatment which rejuvenates the skin and repairs scars with the use of tiny micro-needles. Dermaroller® therapy can be used to treat many cosmetic blemishes, ranging from acne scars to wrinkles, and is a highly-effective non-surgical method which pushes the skin to heal and repair itself.
How does it work?
Dermaroller® therapy involves the use of a Dermaroller® medical device, which is a ‘roller’ with hundreds of tiny micro-needles. This creates tiny pin-prick holes in the skin, which will heal within a day. These encourage the skin to repair and regenerate itself by producing more collagen and elastin – the substances which help to keep our skin flexible and strong – and the skin will continue to heal and grow for months after the treatment.
Who is Dermaroller® therapy for?
Dermaroller® therapy is used in the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, including acne scars, lines and wrinkles, sun-damaged skin and stretch marks.
For this reason, we see a wide range of patients interested in Dermaroller® therapy – it’s for anybody who feels that the aforementioned problems are causing them to feel insecure or unhappy and who is seeking a treatment that will have lasting positive effects.
How much will it cost?
Dr. Barbara Kubicka offers Dermaroller® treatment at clinicbe® from £350 per session, with a discount for patients who purchase a package of three sessions.
Is it safe?
Yes, completely. The devices themselves are for single-use, so every device is clean and safe, and it has become an established and respected cosmetic treatment in recent years.
Will it hurt?
Any discomfort that is experienced will be minimal. We use a local anaesthetic to numb the skin around the treated area before the Dermaroller® therapy begins.
When will I see the results?
While the skin will continue to heal and grow for months after your treatment, you can expect to see firm results around six weeks after undergoing Dermaroller® therapy.
